Laurie Milligan was founded by Michelle Howe, a lifelong maker with a deep fascination for how things are put together. From a young age, she found joy in the craft of sewing. In the patience it requires, and the beauty it produces.

The name itself is an heirloom. Laurie Milligan combines the maiden names of Michelle's two grandmothers, women who shaped her greatly and first seeded in her the instinct to create.

At Laurie Milligan, every garment is made entirely by Michelle. Designed, cut, sewn and finished by hand, each piece carries the kind of quiet craftsmanship that simply cannot be replicated at scale.

We use only quality, natural fabrics, never synthetic. Each one chosen for the way it feels against the skin and the way it ages with grace. 

We make in small quantities, slowly and deliberately. Each piece is designed to be worn season after season, year after year. Timeless by intention, and made to be treasured.
